Outer-space!Future!fic - Brian & Justin in a galaxy far, far away.

 So I read this fic forever ago, and I don't remember where.  It was set waaaaaay in the future on different planet. (several actually)  Brian and Justin were from opposing/rival alien races.  Justin had this tiger/panther companion cat....Kira or Kyra?  something like that.  They had some sort of connection & they could commune telepathically.  Mysterious Marilyn was in it as well, and she had magical powers of some sort.  I also think Justin was the prince of his particular race.


Does anyone know what story I'm talking about, or am I totally nuts?  I swear it exists!

I recently reread "Forever My Avalon" for the 3rd time and really enjoyed the military aspect of the story. I was wondering if anybody had some good QAF military stories for me. It would be even better if someone knew where I could find "Against All Odds".
