getithere | Seeking Brian/Justin QAF Writing Prompts?

Dear Friends,

I'm new to the QAF fandom and am having a heretofore unknown compulsion to write fiction ... something amazing and moving, I hope .... This has really never happened to me before. I looked at a couple of the prompt/challenge communities I saw on the sidebar, but they do not appear to be very active anymore. Also, they seemed to impose quite a few constraints. For instance, MPREG isn't usually my cup of tea, but I wouldn't say no one should write it...Right? Right.

So I love this community and see a few new posts every week - you have been invaluable keeping me in reading material!

I have a few ideas, but they are epic in nature. I want to begin with something smaller and more structured for my first few attempts lest I fall flat on my face and never finish anything.

What stories do my fellow Brian/Justin fans want to read? Does anyone have ideas for me? Another writer I love and respect tremendously has offered to beta and maybe let me play in her AU eventually...

Hi I love to read more menpreg stories for Brian and Justin. I want more with Brian being the one pregnant. I would to read some stories about the prom episode and Brian dealing with Justin being hurt. I would love to read stories where Brian was hurt and bomb episode.

Your welcome. Oh I would to read some where they actually got married. There are so many stories left to tell for Brian and Justin. I would to read some where Brian follows Justin to New York and he creates another add company just as successful. I love would stories where Justin has to protect Brian.

Check The Evil Kinney Girls Club... I start/restarted the EKG-Club at the first of the year. We were a group of fangirls that wrote fics for birthdays.

At the first of the year we opened it up as a community for everyone. We post Monthly writing challenges, and weekly drabble challenges.

I also found most communities rules restricting, so the only rules I impose is no plagiarism, and no fangirl bashing...

Everyone one is welcome, and it's not necessery to join, but you might not see the challenges when posted if you don't. But joining doesn't mean you're committed to write, we have fangirls that just read our fics.

We're also always looking for video, gifs and banner...

Try the promptmesomeqaf comm. It's not exactly active these days, but there are quite a few prompts in it that never got filled. Lol, actually, most of those came from one person -

cowboystracker - so you could always just ask her for a prompt and I'm sure she could give you one, if not several! :)

Thanks for the acknowledgment! I started posting my plot bunnies over on Midnight Whispers. Just provided the OP on this thread with a link, so hopefully some more of my bunnies will be adopted! Maybe I should try posting to promptmesomeqaf LJ again. It might stir up some writing!

I wouldn't mind Doctor!Justin stories or more stories where Brian's a firefighter or a massage therapist or a physical therapist. Stuff like that. XD

Oh, just remembered this... We have a "plot bunny" tag here. I often put it on posts where someone asks for a hypothetical fic and it turns out no one's written anything like that yet. In the sidebar, click "getithere TAGS" and then scroll down to find "plot bunny." You might want to take a look in the comments to see if anyone indicated they were going to write from it, and then check their LJ to see if they actually did. Then again, even if they did, you could still do your own version :) Have fun!

mrs_koki - I also like your ideas about different professions. I've been concentrating a lot of my reading time on both B/J different professions and where they meet in a different way.

I am anxious to read whatever you choose to write. How exciting to have someone so enthused and ready to get going. I welcome you to the fandom. I promise to leave feedback regularly.

If you want to start small, how about doing a song-fic. Pick a song that could apply to them and write a story about it, it could be a one shot or longer depending on how much you want to write. Here are a couple of ideas:

Hey, what a great idea to ask for prompts in order to stimulate your fanfic writing.

I personally would like to read (long BJ stories!) about:
- doctor/intern/nurse
- any type of "invertion AU" (eg. age, profession, experience)
- growing old and "15 year have passed- still going strong"
- moving to NYC and facing the obstacles TOGETHER
