This might have been kind of based on Gale's character in Vanished.
I don't remember much but I think there were four parts, and Brian was there temporarily for a sting operation and met Justin.

Thank you for remembering this fanfic! For me, it's always been an obscure orphan of a story bc it's not truly QAF, though I think a lot of Brian/Justin lovers can still appreciate it - or so I always hoped :)

I'm so glad you asked about this story. I just read the first chapter and it is very well-written and I want to read the rest, now. This is a new author to me, so I was glad to see 6 more QAF stories as well.

Glad it was found, and thanks for updating so quickly! But could you maybe just add a line mentioning that it's not actually a Brian/Justin fic (but Graham/Sean instead)?
