This fic is stuck in my head but I can't remember where/when I read it.

I think Kinnetik was in financial trouble, so Justin came back to help Brian get it started again as he couldn't afford to keep his employees. 

Does that sound familiar to anyone? I can't remember anything else about it, and it's really bugging me.

Thanks, I completely missed the financial crisis tag when I looked through them. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure none of those are the one I'm thinking of.

It would probably help if I could remember a few more details!

So, I ran across a story I was reading the other day... and it ends kinda similar to what you mentioned, but different. Thought I would mention it.

Justin isn't in NY, but in LA and it isn't Kinnetik, but Ryder (Brian's also been living mostly in LA running a branch of Ryder).

It's just a small snippet at the end but... thought I would give it a shot.
