FYI: US prosecutors shut down one of world’s largest file-sharing sites, Megaupload
Just a head's up, Megaupload is gone.

....so...does anyone have the "DL Lost Fics Here" all backed up somewhere?
ETA: It seems that a few people have those fics all backed up. A couple people are also willing to set up DL archives inside of their own websites. See the comments for more details.

Megaupload resurfaces?

Just imagine, if poorly thought out bills like PIPA and SOPA pass, every fanfic site could disappear, as well as things like the print-on-demand and blogging sites where I make a living selling my art, and social sites like LJ and FB.
The fallout is, potentially, so far-reaching that it could change the face of the modern world.
Scary!
