Knittedshadow's journal is f-locked and I've been waiting after commenting, but I haven't been friended back yet and it has been awhile. I was wondering if anyone has copies of her stories, especially the deaf story. Although I do want to read all of her stories, I love disability stories.

I'm thinking someone will probably pop up with a copy of Life After Deaf. But you might want to also PM knittedshadow about the friending if you haven't, in case she missed your comment.

I like to use this post as an opportunity to get out a question which popps up in my mind every time I see something like this.
Mods, I hope you don't mind me asking this here...?
I'm a hardcore-reader and still a computer-dumbie. Therefore I was afraid up from my very first fanfiction that this " reader's heaven" would disappear once I close my computer. That was the reason for me to save a lot of fics just for the use of my own re-reading. Some are from unlocked journals, some are from f-locked ones.
I don't know any writer besides the two well known who ever really forbid to give stories/pdf's away but still I'm very uncertain about that and the last thing I want to do is being disrespectful to any writer (because I want to honor every one here who puts so much work and joy and thoughts in it), and I also don't want to stir up a fight.
This being said here is my question: on of the story which is been asked for here I do have. But what if I send it so someone could put it probably into the "lost fics" - how I can be sure that this won't offend the writer?
Sorry for the long post. I would have asked this in my journal but only a few would read it there.
