Justin hurt!

Hey guys, okay I'm brand new to this fandom, as in I just descovered the show this past weekend and having got through most of season 1 and 2 I'm craving some extra stuff in the line of fanfic stories! There is about a million places I see for QAF fics etc but I feel a little overwhelmed by it all and can't seem to find what I specifically want right now and then I found this place and I'm hoping you guys can help me!

So here goes-

*Anything to do with Brian helping Justin with his recovery after the bashing. Helping him through nightmares, and crowds and touching.

*Any AU's where Brian actually visited Justin in hospital by his bedside and not just stood outside hiding.

*Anything where Justin is hurt, sick and so on, bonus points for protective Brian.

*Anything where Brian accidentally hits Justin and feels so sorry for it.

*Stories where Ethan is abusive and Brian to the rescue!

Oh and anything post s2 spoiler wise can you guys just warn me so I can put it in my 'to read later' file when I've finished the whole series.

EDIT: lots found in comments.

why oh why was there 22 epi's in s1, 20 in 2 and only 14 in the rest! no fair!

Because the cast (Gale, Thea, Michelle, Peter and Scott) renegotiated their contracts and got raises after season 2. Then Showtime cut back the number of episodes to even out the total money. GRRR!

Really? I've never heard that, like, ever, and I've been around since 2005! I just thought that it was because they'd already set the number of episodes. But then, I could be confusing that with the fact that they definitely committed to 5 seasons.

This is why I'll always love this comm, no mater what fandoms I drift away to. There's always some new little fact that comes up!

Oh, and really, they deserved those raises, don't you think?

When the show started, Sharon and Hal had separate contracts from the rest (all were for 5 years, I believe).

After Season 2, the other main original cast (Gale, Thea, Michelle, Peter and Scott) negotiated AS A GROUP for an increase (even though Gale was clearly the "bigger" star with much more screentime. But he's such a team player he stayed with friends and co-stars). They were originally being paid in the low five-figures, and the increase brought them up to mid five-figures (or so it is believed). And then Showtime cut the number of episodes. So they probably made the same per year, but their per-issue "quote" went up.

It has been discussed numerous times on LJ and IMDB over the years (I've been here since '03).

I stayed away from IMDB, I heard that it was batshit insane there, like the old SHOboards. :) I think I went to the IMDB show boards once, I ran screaming. lol

I see you left Randy out, did he negotiate with the others or did he do it separate from them?

AHHH! How could I forget Randy?

Yes, I believe he was part of the negotiating team.

As for IMDB, I still go on the boards. And yes, sometimes it's a cesspool. But there are tidbits of info that I get there before other sources. Now that we have Twitter and Facebook, it is less "breaking news" but still has some value, as there is no limit to the posts (a good and bad thing in itself LOL). There are trolls galore, and sometimes I just have to reply "GROW UP!" (which I did last night), but until I no longer find anything uselful, I'll stick with it. :-)
