Season 1 seems very clear that Michael is a number of months older than Brian -- there's quite a gap between his birthday in S1 and Brian's in the final ep of that year.
Also, Michael would have been born in November 1970, while Brian in Spring of 1971. If Michael had been born in March of 1970, I doubt a pregnant Deb would have been at Woodstock in August 1969 doing it with three guys named Julio! But having a baby in November of her senior year (1970), after Danny Devore graduated and left for NYC, is more plausible.
The other puzzler is the age of Vic. Season 1 makes him older than Deb (the Babylon card he gives to Justin), which makes more sense if Vic was supposedly at the Stonewall Riots in June 1969. But his death arc in S4 make him younger than Deb, which throws everything way off. Yes, Jack W is younger than Sharon Gless in reality, but he certainly doesn't "read" as younger on the show -- and all the other details of his life point to Vic being older. Just another example of CowLip and the writers' lousy continuity.
