I'm not sure but I think I copied it from the Showtime QAF page a couple years ago.(I didnt' discover QAF until Oct '08).

I just went back to the showtime site and they have scrubbed all QAF references. I can't find anything anywhere mentioning the series except for DVD's available on their store page.

Most peculiar, I sent them an emailing asking why they had deleted QAF, given that the L-Word was still there. ???

I don't now exactly where it airs(since I don't watch TV) but I get a lot of comments on youtube saying that 'this season is airing in my country right now' and a lot of newcomers who just discovered the show and express how much they love it so I was under the impression that the show still has its audience and there are new fans who are still discovering it.

I think that's probably more due to Netflix. I started watching right after S5 aired the first time in the summer of 05, bought S1, watched S2-S4 while waiting on the seasons I bought (eBay rocks!). But yeah, Netflix has all 5 seasons, and it's easier for people to go that route.

It is easier especially when you first discover the show and you're immediately obsessed with it, I know I would have gone crazy waiting for the episodes to air week to week.

Oh, god, no lie! If I had to wait between S1 and S2 in real time, I'd have had a FIT! Bad enough I had to wait a week when I first joined Netflix to get it.

Yup, can't imagine how hard it was for the people who watched it from week to week, I watched the show knowing exactly what will happen so there was no surprises.

I feel bad for the fans who had to sit through the first seven episodes of season three, not knowing if our boys will get back together or not.

First time I watched S3, I wanted to fast forward straight to the end of 308. After I bought it, I watched 301-307 closely. I wanted to really get the jist of what was going on. Ethan never bothered me the way he did others. Yes, he was a plot device, but it was necessary to see how far Brian and Justin had fallen, and how Brian really never gave up on Justin, just waited until Justin came around. And Justin needed to see that Brian did everything in grand gestures, while Ethan spouted pretty words and turned out to be no different from anyone else. A hard lesson to learn, yes. But necessary.

I think these episode really show that they wanted to be together and that they'll always be there for each other even though they are not together anymore; Brian paying for Justin's tuition even though he didn't have to and Justin stepping in and saving Brian yet again in 304, and of course Justin needed to see the difference between what Brian offers and what Ethan offers.

I fully understand why Ethan had to happen, but I still don't like him because he made Justin cry :(

Sorry, but that made me laugh. I don't know why. Like, "I'mma kick your ass, you made Justin cry, bitch!" rotfl

But yeah, totally agree. And it pisses me off no end when people want to see Justin and Ethan stay together, or hate Justin for leaving in the first place. I mean, we all have our opinions, but I do sometimes wonder if we're watching the same show. S2 Brian and Justin from about 214 forward were a trainwreck looking for a stopping point. They spent the first part of S2 basically running away from the fallout of the bashing, and the second part running away from each other. And if anyone has any doubt that it was killing the both of them, I direct them to 220, when Justin comes home, Brian holds the covers back, Justin climbs into bed, and even though they appear to be cuddling, they are miles away. That scene KILLS me. And no dialogue is needed, because it's all right there on the screen. PAIN. And lots of it.

I saw a couple of Ethan/Justin fanvid, I couldn't believe it at first; that people would willingly ship this couple, did they watch the same show we did?

220 was painful! the scene on the bed, we could actually see the wheels in Brian's head turning; thinking of a way to fix the situation, even if it means letting Justin go.

But yeah, Ethan and Justin...remember Myrna's If I Needed You? That part where Brian is saying that he thought of Justin and Ethan as two puppies playing, and when they get tired, you pick up your puppy and go home? Just like that, only we know that there was more to them (in the story) than Brian knew. But the overall sentiment is perfect for the show.

And anyway, you don't get jealous when two puppies frolic. You cock your head, think, "Aww, isn't that precious," then when they're all tuckered out, you pick your mutt up and go home.

this story is amazing on so many different levels and this line right there I declare canon, it's so what Brian was thinking whenever he saw Justin and the fiddler together, it's like he knew they'll never make it and that Ian was full of shit from the start.

And yes, that is SO canon!! Doesn't matter if it wasn't said on the show, it's what Brian was thinking after he got past the hurt. I don't think he was ever jealous. He was hurt, and angry that he'd messed up. Justin did as well, but Brian prided himself on seeing things before they happened. But with Justin, there was always that blind spot. Justin was always capable of tripping Brian up.

I just love this.

Justin was always capable of getting under Brian's defenses and I think Brian at some point(probably during season 1) realized that he just can't fight him off any longer.

The thing is, no one was really ever able to surprise Brian. He had everyone pretty well pegged. Justin was different. He sent him off with the "I don't believe in love", Justin shows up at Babylon and steals his tricks. He shows up at the loft and chases off several tricks. Brian shows up at the GLC to see Justin's art, takes him back to his parents and then takes him away from them, goes to get him in NYC...every time he says he's not going, not doing, NOT...he did. Because Justin got to him.
