Hobs is finally sentenced to jail

Hi everyone,

I recently watched an episode of NYPD, about a woman that was abused by her husband, she took him to court, but he wasn't found guilty. A few years later she decides to re-open the case, because she wants him to pay, and then a jury finally finds him guilty and sentences him to a few years in jail.

I was wondering if there is anything like this in the QAF fandom. If there are any stories where Justin decides that he wants to re-open the case against Hob's and testify and all to get him to pay for what he did.

Any recs along those lines would be great :)!

Thanks,

Silvia~

I think that is called double-jeopardy and in the US, the person would not be able to be on trial again for the same thing. Having said that, I'll answer your question by saying that I have never read anything like that. But I would be interested to see if anyone else has.

I remember a story where Justin decides to pursue Hobbs through a civil suit, but don't remember the title or author.

If you're interested, here's some good info on how the whole 'two trials for the same crime, in the USA' thing works:

Here's a link to Chapter 1 of the story I was thinking of. It's 'Negation' by Jane -- the civil suit against Hobbs is not the main theme of the story, but is part of it. The story is Complete with 15 chapters:
