Justin is lost in the storm

I'm looking for a story where Brian and Justin are somewhere in the mountains, they had an argument and Justin goes hiking with his backpack, but the storm hits and Brian can't find him. A woman at some store tells him he went hiking and when Justin does not return that day, they start to look for him. Justin is badly hurt and a dog or a wolf and his mate keeps him warm and alive. When he is rescued somebody shoots the female wolf and everybody assume that the wolf is dead, but at the end we find out that is not true.Thanks in advance, Metka
