Nano 2009

Any updates on the Nano 2009 stories?  I checked the tags and it seems the last time someone asked back in Feb there still wasn't much of an update.  I've already read [livejournal.com profile] inner_justin 's and was hoping there are more that have been posted since Feb.  So many good fics have come out of this in the past and I'm totally looking for something new to read!

Update: Nothing really new since Feb  :( ... I guess I'll check back in a few more months.  In the meantime, if you hear anything new, please reply here!  I'd love to read a new Nano!

I remember asking last time but didn't get much response from any new Nano 2009 writers. (On a side note - inner_justin's story is a great read)

I'm still working on mine. I've been really busy and the fic is going to be very, very long, but worth the wait. Promise.

I'm still in the writing phase. The fiction is really super long, but I've got a few of the first chapters nearly going toward the final edit phase. But still tons of writing left. You can see the summary here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/580654

Right now I'm working on a fic for [livejournal.com profile] qafbigbang it's going to be pretty long too. I think posting starts there around the 25th or something.

Then I'll be back to Tenebrosity full time and hope to have it done by June. I haven't had much time to devote to it like I did before, but considering I wrote 100,000 words in a month when I devoted my writing time to that, I'm sure once I do it again I should be able to complete it shortly, thanks for inquiring. :) Rory

I think a lot of my stories end up a a lot longer than I intend. But this one. It's really intense and the subject matter requires delicate and intricate writing unlike anything else I've written or probably will ever write.

I've taken a break from active fandom life in the past few months, so you may not be missing anything. Though there has been some one-shots done lately. And there is a bunch of fic updates being betad.

I think even my mpreg has always been angsty. I wouldn't say I've completely switched gears, though there has definitely been different style to my writing. A lot of the stuff I'd been posting the last couple of years was old stuff, stuff that was written not as the person I was while posting and definitely am not now (as an author I mean). Like ACC/MIC, it's really different to rewrite it now because I don't know what I was thinking back then when I first wrote it. So it's going to be much different as a whole in the end.

I've still got semi-happy fics though "For Richer or For Poorer" and a few one-shots keep the happy side of fic. And I'm writing stuff under the table too but am saving most fic not currently wip for when I am completed with them. The fic I'm writing for big bang isn't exactly angsty either and it's not mpreg.

I guess it just depends on the plot. Often my mpregs require more angst than any other of my fic. Though my nano fic is the most intense and angsty story in the world but it is not mpreg, it is completely possible in the world and deals with things that give the characters so many different emotions to go through unlike any other fic. I guess there is really no explaining it.

Qafbigbang is one of many big bang challenges that spread across fandoms. Normally there is tons of entries for challenges like that but sadly, I don't think there is that many for qaf. Poor fandom. But I can't wait to see what everyone else has written.

I wish you luck in real life and catching up here!
:) Rory

[livejournal.com profile] lyrical_tragedy is posting hers a little at a time on her journal. It's called Shadows in the Flame. I'm waiting for her to finish posting it before I read it, but I am sure it will be a terrific read based on the summary and her past writing.

Here's a link to her journal but it's friends only so you may need to drop her a line to get access.
