Brian drops the first ILY casually?

Hello! Has anyone ever taken note of fic that has Brian saying those three words (that make our fangirl hearts swoon) in a casual way for the first time? You know, without bombs, any other near-death incidents or any serious diseases nudging him? But not in a huge declaration context either, please! Just something totally undramatic, maybe with the words just slipping out unplannedly? Superextra brownie points if it's IC and not AU, which--as I'm aware--seems kind of impossible. :D

As for what happens after the words are out, I'm not picky. I will take anything from Justin dropping an anvil on his foot (which he could totally be carrying around on an ordinary day) in shock, to him reacting barely fazed and Brian stomping off irritatedly.

Oh, please tell me there's such fic!

Edit: I was supplied with satisfying recs -- thanks everyone!

There is indeed, my friend! I will go get it for you now.

I did have Mr. Kinney mention it via a late night phone call in a short one-shot challenge fic. I like to think it's IC, but you be the judge-lol!

Line in the Sand

No bombs or disease involved either!

The epilogue to "Pulse Point" has that in it...

There's one where they're at the diner and Justin's working. He brings something to the guys' table and one of'em (Em, probably) says something like "that's why we love you." Brian says "that may be why you love him; I love him for entirely different reasons." And then there is a little bit of drama and a little bit of humor and it's really good. And I'd provide a link if I had any clue whatsoever what this fic is! But someone will.

There is one where they are having breakfast together, Brian has to go to works and says I love you right before he leaves the loft. I can't remember who wrote it, but I'm pretty sure it is a oneshot. It is a really good one.

Second time I'm rec-ing this fic, but I love it too much not to. It has a very un-dramatic yet subtly dramatic ILU, if you catch my drift. >w<~

Sorry I don't have a title or link but I read a short story where Brian tells other people he loves Justin except he doesn't say it to Justin directly even though he's with him. I hope others can provide the title and link.

These two might not be exactly what you're asking for, but they're both really good reads.

BBC's From a Safe Distance (http://bigboobedcanuck.livejournal.com/150768.html). The relevant part is in chapter 6.

Dreamcatcher's I Never (http://dreamcatcher.livejournal.com/10073.html).

Try this one : "Moving On" by Brian O. In the end of the story Brian tell Justin that he loves him. Here's the link : http://web.archive.org/web/20031114172142/www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/WI27.htm

It may not be casual enough for you, but in [livejournal.com profile] mmmorpheusq/'s Trading Spaces (http://morpheusqaf.com/OutAndAbout-PartTwo.html), which is a Post S3 story, there's an unusal means of declaration in the following chapter:(http://morpheusqaf.com/OutAndAbout-PartTwo.html
