JUSTIN HAS CANCER AND DIES

I hope that you guys can help me find this sad story..Justin and Brian are in a committed relationship and I think that they might even have a child (not Gus)...Justin also has started a career as a highly acclaimed artist when he discovers that he has cancer. I think that he begins treatment but discovers that they aren't working and later in the story he, Brian and their child (I think )travel to Europe where Justin continues his battle and later dies in Brian's arms. It's a sad and beautiful story and I have a feeling that it was a sequel to another story that the author wrote... Any help would be appreciated.
