Stuck in the hospital ☹ So I started searching for where Ted is friends with Justin and is at a surprise party for Justin, but has to go down to give Brian a file or something. I think Brian tells Justin about the party.

Major and Secondary Character Studies

A few fandom friends and I are compiling lists for a QAF fan Awards event and I was wondering if I could get recommendations from you all.

1. The first would be Major Character Studies. This would focus mainly on one major character in the QAF world (Ben, Brian, Justin, Debbie, Michael, Lindsay, Mel, Emmett, Ted, and Vic.) It would need to focus on their growth, personality, etc. It can take place before, during, or after the show.

2. The second is for secondary and "extra" characters. Same deal but I'm looking for stories that focus on the characters that we don't see as much of like Jennifer, Molly, Daphne, Carl (even though he takes a bigger role later on), Craig, Joan, Jack, Mysterious Marilyn, Todd, one of Brian's tricks. It doesn't matter really. Any secondary or extra character.

Everyone Loves Brian...

Does anyone remember a fairly recent fic, I think it was posted on Midnight Whispers. Brian is out with the gang and they all get drunk, he wakes up with Michael in his bed and of course Michael is madly in love with him. But he's not the only one, Ted comes by the loft to confess his love for Brian and him and Michael end up fighting over Brian. Then low and behold Mel tells Lindsay their relationship is over, and she's leaving her for, yes you got it Brian, she’s also madly in love with Brian.

Justin's home from New York, and after he realizes that nothing actually happened between Michael and Brian they start to try and piece together what's happening to everyone. Deb's furious with Brian for getting involved with Michael and the only other part I remember is that Emmett doesn't seem to be affected and he tries to help them figure out what going on. They end up going someplace out of town and I'm not sure if it's mysterious Marylyn or someone else, but they all sit down together as the gypsy starts to unravel the recent past events.

I'm not sure if this fic is still a wip, but it was intriguing to say the least... Any thoughts on what this fic is titled, or the author's name? Thanks for your help... ~ Kathleen

I only remember a scene. I know I have it put on my kindle, but can't for the life of me remember which fic it is. (I seriously have about 1000 fics on it, so a little guidance will definitely be helpful)

Brian and Michael are in the store and Michael says to Brian how "between them, Gus and JR will be brought up right" It's mentioned how debbie was embarassing adn loud. Brian is scathing in his remarks to Michael about how lucky he was etc.

I'm probably going to smack myself once it's figured out, but it's been driving me nuts for 2 or 3 days now.

Hi all, I'm looking for a specific Liberty Ride AU/What If story where Justin does go on the ride with Brian and they end up getting lost. They then run into Ted and Emmett whose storyline is the same as the show (i.e. they get lost and do Ted's AA meeting, etc.). HELP! Hey all, am looking for a fic where Brian is kidnapped by Sap & held in a room with cameras, & Justin, who Brian has never meet is thrown in with him sans cloothing & they are "made" to have sex while other people are watching them.

On the outside Cynthia is blocking anyone from talking the Brian & tried to report him missing but the polie won't do anyhting about it.

She changes the locks on the loft as others have been helping themselves to Brian's stuff.

Eventully Ted with the help of Ethan finds B&J & frees them.

Brian later gets amnesia while the issue is in court,

B&J get married in Canada with Gus there with them.

In the back of my mind I know what its called- but I can't remember...

Financial Crisis - Kinnetik closes/at risk due to poor economy

Don't know why these came to mind, but I have read at least two fics with this plot. I would've sworn they were written by Suz and Xie, but I looked through their fic lists and didn't find them. Neither are they in the financial crisis tag, though someone else did look for a similar fic a couple of years ago, but that request wasn't found.

Don't remember much about either fic; they were set around 2007 or so. In one, things are tense and Brian tells Ted and Cynthia they were going avoid laying off any staff if at all possible, but if anyone quit, their position wouldn't be filled. In the other fic, B/J were in NYC, the agency went under, Britin was sold, their NY apt was sold, their retirement accounts were emptied trying to save the agency and staff, all to no avail. Brian notes that nearly everyone they know is in the same boat because they all do things that aren't necessary. People quit buying Justin's paintings, quit hiring Emmett to cater parties, corps pulled back their ads.

Hello. I have read many fics where Brian is the scapegoat by members of the family (especially Michael, Mel, and Deb) even though he's the one who fixes everything. Sometimes they even realize this or got told off and they change which Brian made so happy that he just lets the past go.

What I'm looking for are fics where they need to grovel and work hard to earn forgiveness and trust. For example, maybe Brian cuts them off, got a job out of state, in a coma, or something. I also like when they get told off by someone. Without him there to get blamed for every little thing wrong in their lives, they have to face some cold hard facts. I prefer Brian and Justin to be together but that's not necessary. I just want some groveling!

I believe they were at Deb's and maybe Lindsay and Melanie moved back to Pittsburgh (??). All I know is they were there, as well as everyone, for dinner (I'm not too sure if Brian and Justin were there at the beginning and left partway through before the verbal attacks came on or if they weren't there to begin with, but everyone else was). Linds and Mel were talking about buying a car so Lindsay could transport Gus and JR around the city with ease. Lindsay was very "humble", saying how she doesn't mind taking the bus. Debbie was all up in arms that her precious granddaughter never see the filth of public transportation. Mel was angry and indignant because she and Lindsay had asked Brian to help pay for a car and he'd apparently refused. Michael felt it was Brian's responsibility to pay for everything. Ben thought Michael was out of line with that because Brian isn't just a bank for all of them to use everytime they needed something, and he certainly had no responsibilities towards JR, Michael or Debbie (it was also pointed out that Brian had paid for all their needs recently) but Michael was all "confused" and thought Brian should be held accountable for them all since he had money. One of them - Michael or Melanie - also called Justin Brian's boy toy and accused Brian of spending more on Justin than he ever would on a car.

Ted finally had had enough and stood up for everyone. He pointed out that Brian had paid for and done selfless things for all of them, so he isn't an asshole. Justin had raked in tons of money from his art (as much as Kinnetik, I think) and he put it all in a joint account with Brian. So, technically, Justin was paying for all of their things as well (new roof for Debbie (??), Michael's store mortgage, etc.) He also asked how much Michael was contributing in his house with Ben and Hunter. He then revealed that the only reason Brian hadn't gotten Lindsay and Melanie a car was because the girls refused to pick a car that Justin and Ted had painstakingly compiled (for safety issues, most child-friendly, environmentally-friendly, etc.) The girls, especially Melanie, had gotten very cagey and indignant that Brian would try and "control" them by telling them which car to choose. He then walked out and said something about going to Woody's or Babylon. I think Ben stood up and said that he was going to buy the man a drink for being such a good friend (or maybe it was Emmett who said it...)

I read this story a while back and while I can remember all these details...I can't seem to remember the title or the author. It's that way with me all the time. I searched the ted tag, the anti-ensemble tag...Nothing.

If any of you have read this and remembered it, please, please, PLEASE let me know.

Hi, everyone!:) I suddenly had this idea, and I decided to ask about it. Are there stories where Brian is jealous and gets into a fight with some guy he suspects/knows Justin is involved with? I thought about it and realized I can't remember anything like that. But maybe there are such stories out there? I'd appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

Hello. I hope some of you find this fiction too.

Of course it was B/J (and I seem to remember it had an happy ending). Brian was quite jealous and he became just a little bit too threatening towards Justin. He used the nickname "sunshine" in a very defilingly way!
I do not remember anything else. I hope it is enough! I've already checked the "jealous" tag but I wasn't lucky.

Hello, I am looking for fanfiction where Brian and Justin meet while Brian's on a business trip. Brian does know Justin is famous and wonders why Justin wears hat and sunglasses when they go out. He discovers but does not tell the gang. I think he gets jealous when Emment fawns over a magazine cover of Justin. I think later in the story Justin has a stalker. Please help the story keeps circling in my head!!!!!!

Ok, I've been scouring the tags and can't find this. For some reason Brian and Justin have Gus with them in New York, and they go see the Nutcracker. After it's over Brian goes to buy Gus a souvenir or something and while Justin and Gus are waiting they run into Ethan who is playing in the orchestra. They kinda rub it in Ethan's face that they're together and happy. Anyone know what fic I'm talking about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay... Because you are amazing at remembering even the smallest details, so I'm sure someone will remember this story.

Basically, the only thing I remember about it is that Brian plays a game online, where you're supposed to figure out clues to get to the next level. He gets stuck, yells Ted to come to his office and help him figure it out. And threatens poor Ted quite horribly if he tells anyone.

So, yeah... :D

I was going through old entries of the community looking for something to read. I came across this story - Sesto's Aria by jenn and jainieg. I haven't started reading it because it looks like it's not finished. Or at least not on this site. There's only part 1. There aren't any notes or something else that says if there are other parts. 2 fic - Debbie's tips; Brian or Justin Missing

I was reading a fic and it reminded me of a couple of other fics I knew I had read, but couldn't remember which they were.

They may both be by Moonshadow Woman - I know the 2nd fic is.

1) Brian gets angry at the gang and stops going to the Liberty Diner, result is Debbie's tips go down appreciably. This is an anti-Michael fic - he is made to look like an idiot. He doesn't put 2 + 2 together on the fact that Brian not going to the diner is the reason Debbie's tips are down.

2) I'm thinking that it is a fic where Justin is missing and Brian is the only person who seems aware of it, and he goes and tracks down Brian and rescues him. Or it could be the opposite. I know I may be getting it confused with another fic that MoonShadow Woman wrote (where evil!Craig has Justin kidnapped to send him to some place that will scare him straight/reprogram him to straight) But I believe that this is a different fic. I think that everyone in the gang write off Brian's disappearance as him being irresponsible.

Yup....I'm back again. It's an anti-Micheal. Only part I remember is that he's following who he thinks is Justin and some guy, (he's sure that Justin is cheating on Brian) but it's really Ted and partner, to a B&B. He get's told off by an old farmer in the middle of the night, ends up doing chores at that guy's farm. That's all I really remember.
