I'm not entirely sure how to phrase my quest. I am desperately searching for fics of any kind that pertain to Brian and Justin's relationship in season five... or lack there of, I suppose. What went wrong, what they should have done, etc. etc., anything like that is magnificent.

Ideally though I would love an AU fic where one of them realizes what's going on and go about trying to stop the situation from worsening. Or fix the problem, whatever. Or fics set post-season five wherein Brian and Justin contemplate the faults in their season five relationship, and maybe go about repairing them. I don't really know...

I guess all I really want is fics that focus, revolve, or at least mention what the hell was going on with Brian and Justin's relationship in season five.

I've looked through the list of gapfillers, and can't really find what I'm looking for. So I thought I would ask you.

I would recommend "Inescapable" by Suzvoy and "After the Smoke Clears" by Allie-quixotic. Both are some of my favorite bj fics of all times.

oops, inescapable is actually an AU story where Justin and Brian meets for the first time at the Babylon bombing. Sorry!

But After the Smoke Clears is Brian reflecting after Justin gets hurt at the bombing. <-- probably what you're looking for

wren_kt7oz has a fic called "Reverberations". It is a little AU since it's Justin who gets syphilis, but it also deals with a lot of things that went wrong in SE5.

I have a gap-filler for 507 called On the Edge of Something Beautiful. It explores what Justin may have been thinking while he waits for Brian at the loft. http://sodoesrachael.livejournal.com/6732.html#cutid1 There are two companion pieces, but they don't deal with the repair of their relationship, but rather how things fall apart. One's the season two break-up (This Is How We Break), and the other is an AU post-series break-up ficlet (And We All Fall Down), for which I may or may not be planning a sequel in which they realize that they both fucking idiots. Maybe. :P Both are found on my journal, if you're interested. It's not f-locked.
