anderson cooper?

One part of the fic I'm looking for that stands out most clearly is that Anderson Cooper was a side character in it. Brian had some sort of new high-tech gadget, which I initially thought to be a car but now I think is a phone, and he relied on a specific person for help with it when it was malfunctioning.

I remember he called that person for help and they were in a relationship with anderson cooper...? This is probably a strange request, thanks to anyone who can help!

The Anderson Cooper bit is from well into the story, after the Venice segment, when they move to New York if I remember correctly

In Beyond the Yellow Brick Road, Brian is part of a very in-group of high profile people who are test marketing computer savy appliances. When Justin comes home, he can't handle the high-tech stuff and gets Zeke to dismantle the computer chips. Cooper's partner is one of this in group.

I have been following Anderson Cooper now on CNN ever since I read this. He won't officially come out, but he doesn't ever deny that he is gay.

I'm not familiar with the other story cited so I don't know if that's closer to the one you remember.
