I remember this story I read, I think it's called Drill. I can't remember who its by but I do know that it was a sequel.

In the first story, Brian loses his job at Vanguard after Vance dies.  At the end of the story Brian and Justin were heading off to someplace warm.. Miami I think.

The one chapter that I did read of the sequel was in Ted POV, and basically Michael got mugged and so Brian and Justin end up not going away after all... Does this ring any bells for anyone?

I just posted on my LJ asking if anyone knew if the author, Eveline, had ever continued writing somewhere else because I *just* read this and wanted more! She was part of the onto_you site of three authors and they parted ways.

If you go back through the posts for the past week you'll find a link to their site (the original request was for the story Picture Perfect), but evidently Drill is an abandoned WIP. I so wish authors would indicate Abandoned rather than Incomplete, you know?
