Ben's not happy w/Michael taking Hunter; Stockwell hides something at Babylon

Looking for a couple of specific stories:

1. Ben is not happy with the legal and personal fallout when Michael takes off with Hunter. When Michael comes back, Ben is pretty much ready to move on.

2. I remember reading,  a long time ago, a story in which something is hidden in a pillar? or somewhere in Babylon by Stockwell, I believe. Could have been the Sap who hid it, but Stockwell sticks in my head. Of course it's B/J, and a bit of a cops and robbers type thing I believe.

I'm not entirely certain about #2, but #1 I recall pretty vividly. Any help?

#2--I have a scene like that in Dream (http://besame-bj.livejournal.com/106439.html), which is the sequel to Precipice which is the sequel to the original story, Mirror. Stockwell is about to become the mayor of Pittsburgh and he's hidden some crucial absentee ballots in Babylon, with the Sap's help. Hope that helps!

Yes! I had an inkling it was part of a larger series, but I could not remember which one, for the life of me. I began reading the MirrorVerse again, recently, actually, but I haven't gotten to Dream yet. Must have been a subconscious nudge going on there! LOL. Thanks, Eileen. I wouldn't be surprised if you read it somewhere else. Or maybe someone mentioned it to you? It'd be kind of hard to read something like that accidentally, especially since it's right at the end of the story. Unless you read it out of order. Your description, btw, is pretty specific!

I've already read the complete series of stories, so I'm sure it popped into my head because I've started the re-read, even though I've not made it to Dream again. The series, by the way, is one of the very best I've read. Quite often sequels just don't measure up to the first installment, but Mirror is such a unique concept that each sequel is unique in and of itself.

You are such a diciplined writer... a characteristic I'm so desperately in need of developing in myself.

Thank you, Roni. I think the reason I'm so disciplined is because nothing else (except my family, of course) is more important to me. It's always been that way. And I love the Mirror-verse, which is why there's been so many sequels! ♥

Do you know if #1 is a B/J fic with a Ben/Michael subplot, or if it's primarily a Ben/Michael fic?

The best I can recall is that it's more of an ensemble tale, primarily focusing on B/J since that's what I pretty much stick to reading. For some reason I keep thinking it's one belonging to 7wildswayup, and I'm going through her stories now, but it may be someone else's. It was not a one-shot.

The primary scene I recall is Ben being upset that he's having to deal with police and the possibility of kidnapping charges against Michael... he feels Michael is being selfish and trying to act heroic. Gah! Wish I could remember...!!!

I am having difficulty friending Besame-bj. I do not know if it is my livejournal account or me being technically challenged. I was friended before but now just get an error message in response. Anyone else having this issue?
