I remember reading something a loooong time ago where JR (or, you know, some incarnation of JR, perhaps with a different name) called Brian My Bri. It is driving me nuts that I have never seen it again.

That's a fic by Cyn. It's part of her 'Just Like Family' Universe, of which she wrote a bunch of stories to. Here's the link to her fic page and just look for the fics that say Book # in the 'Just Like Family' Universe in the summary.
