Link to new 4shared site invalid

Is it just me or is somebody else encountering problems opening the link to our new 4shared file? Since yesterday it says link invalid. ???

Edit: Somehow the folder had a private setting which is now changed back. Phew. My widdle heart. Thank you!

Edit 2: Stopped working again. :( Even as a registered user and logged in you have no access.

Edit 3: Whatever you did, it's working for me right now.

Edit 4: And stopped working again.... Never ending story? I hope not!

Edit 5: Mod update will follow after contacting 4shared to hopefully answer our many questions.

Freaked me out when I noticed that, too! It seems the problem is that 4shared is suddenly requiring everyone to be a logged-in member to see or do anything over there :( We are trying to find out more and will update everyone when we know something!

I just tried to access the site and got the 'invalid' response. I never even got to the page where login is normally requested. (I am a member, so that wouldn't be a problem.)

Yep, saw a couple of days ago, that a registration is now necessary. Tried it and I didn't get the first email to get it started till now.
That's soooo annoying!

Hmm. What happens if you go to 4shared.com and log in first, and then try the fic folder link? Is it invalid still?

I just requested a resend of the start email. It worked and I am now logged in, but still I can't access the file. :(

I'm now searching 4shared for 'QAF', hoping to find one of the stories from our folder. Looking for an author's name like 'Allie_Quixotic' resulted in nothing.

Yes, the link the the fic folder just informs you that you've clicked an invalid file. Even for paid members.

They've also removed posting who actually uploads files and you can no longer click on user names (the few that I've found) to go to their directories. It will just show a brief info about that user and if you want to subscribe. Their search feature is almost useless, it will tell you it can't find files, but searching for those same files through Google will send you to them.

Most likely, yes.

Red, Court, and I are able to access the fic folder with the account info, so at least I can give the reassurance that it's still there, even if that's not doing you guys any good at the moment.
