For number 2, I'd agree with the rec for Splitfic -- the age difference isn't that much (I think it's 4 years maybe?) and it goes back and forth between the past (when they're both college age) and the present (when they're in their 30s I think). This is one of my favorite stories in the fandom, so if you haven't already read it, I'd definitely recommend you do.

I also like "Big Man on Campus" by Brian's Bottom where they're both in high school, with only a few years difference: http://briansbottom.livejournal.com/tag/big%20man%20on%20campus

I'd recommend "Something More" by Carly/Brandnewloser87, where they're again both in high school and I think either the same age or only 1 year apart: http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/CF/SM.htm

And I don't know what the age difference is between B/J in "Endeavor" by Galeandrandy, but they work together at Kinnetik and seem to be more equals, though it's possible the 12 year age difference might still be there -- either way, it's a great story I'd definitely recommend and another one of my favorites in the fandom: http://archiveofourown.org/works/86538?view_full_work=true

Also, I don't have the links, but discothequey has written a few stories where B/J are younger and the age difference isn't 12 years, but more like 7-8 years. Her stories are amazing though and worth checking out.

"Nice Boys Don't Play Rock n Roll by xrifree is one where they're close in age and both in high school: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6253873/1/nice_boys_dont_play_rock_n_roll

I know there are a bunch more -- there's a story I can't remember where Brian, as a teenager, went to live with his brother and his brother's partner and Justin ends up living with them as well (as he's the cousin of Brian's brother's partner -- have I confused you yet??). They're either the same age or close in age -- however, I can't seem to find that story or recall the title/author. I'm pretty sure it was a WIP the last time I checked, but I'll have to search for it.

And I know there are other stories where B/J are close in age not only in high school but as adults as well. I *know* I've read quite a few of those, I just can't figure out where I saved them. Hope this helps!

Gohelio, I just have to say, the story you can't remember (Brian, as a teenager, went to live with his brother and his brother's partner and Justin ends up living with them as well... etc. ) sounds like Meredith's "Now That You're Here"
http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/MerF/NYTH.htm
and she finished it last Sept.!

Yay! Thanks for figuring out what I was talking about -- I really enjoyed that story, but then I decided to hold off on reading it since I was confusing myself with so many WIPs. Glad to know it's finished -- I shall now go read. :)

Problem with "Now That You're Here"

I just went to the page you linked and - just to be safe - opened the last chapter posted (ch-48) and it appears to be not only incomplete, but literally cut-off mid-word. I reloaded a couple of times, but it still ends mid-word. I guess it's just a snag, but still...

Do you know if Meredith posts anywhere else?

Oh rats! No, I think I've only seen her on Moon Shadow Tribe. Maybe try a different browser? It works for me in Safari and Firefox. Hope you can get it working!
