Which made me remember another great vampire fic - "Colder in My Skin" by Seperis. (Can't believe I didn't remember this!) I've read it many times and the ending still gives me chills. It's a 2-parter and starts here:

I just finished "The Night Walks with Us" and LOVED it and am totally in the mood for more vampire-fic. I love vampire stories so long as they don't contain Sookie or Bella Swan. :)
